FindaHireCar.com, the car hire comparison website, is delighted to announce that CarTrawler, our leading car rental technology supplier has made it into the Daily Telegraph ‘Start-Up 100′, which lists the top 100 most promising European technology companies. The awards, for which The Telegraph is a media partner, were given to notable companies in a range of sectors.
CarTrawler was one of nine companies who made it into the Travel and Transport Category. Chosen by a panel of expert judges, the Telegraph Start-Up 100 is divided into eight categories including Advertising, Finance, Media, and Education. Entries were collected over the last six months.
The panel of which includes venture capitalists and angel investors was supported by a team of analysts, including associates from Balderton Capital, Accel Partners, DFJ Esprit and others, who are helping to define the criteria and methodology the judges used in their deliberations.

The Telegraph Start-Up 100, in conjunction with TechCrunch Europe, is supported by Orrick, Silicon Valley Bank and Microsoft BizSpark. MindCandy, the company behind the successful children game, Moshi Monsters, won the virtual worlds category. The audio and media category was awarded to Soundcloud, an online audio distribution platform which allows musicians to collaborate, promote and distribute their music. Mendeley, a research collaboration tool, won in the education and recruitment and jobs category; Huddle, an online group content management system, in the security, storage, collaboration, databases category and Made.com, a digital furniture store, which won the finance, payments and e-commerce category.
